Have you ever wanted to sing and dance using your hands? Do you want to feel balance while making yourself, and others, want to move with rhythm?
I'm Travis Sapp and I've been learning, and sharing, traditional rhythms from West Africa since the mid 90's. I've learned from, and played with, amazing teachers from West Africa like Mamady Keita, Fara Tolno, and Fode Bangoura. I've had the pleasure of sharing traditional dunun and djembe parts with many people, including
many that participated in the West African dance class at Utah State University. This is a great opportunity for you to learn, experience and share the culture of West African drum. Come experience the joy that exercising the mind and body, and deepening the connection between them, can bring!
Our regular hours of operation are Tuesday through Thursday from 10am to 5pm and Monday and Friday by appointment only.
